About the Northeast Research Farm
The Northeast Research Station extends the reach of the Plant Science Department from the SDSU campus at Brookings to an 80-acre farm "next door" to crop producers in northeastern South Dakota.

This opens up an additional channel of communications between researchers and producers. Researchers learn first-hand from producers about their problems. Producers see the latest in crops and methods adapted to climatic conditions in their own area.
